Scrapbook Layout: Wedding Scrapbook Our Guests

Our Guests Wedding Scrapbook LayoutNow I love how this one turned out.

My wedding scrapbook thus far has focused on very close family and friends.  I created this page to celebrate everyone who was with us that day.*

This layout was inspired/lifted from Katie Pertiet‘s wedding layout below.

Wedding Scrapbook Layout by Katie PertietA couple things struck me about it:  the inclusion of bunch of photos with focus on the main photo and that the smaller photos black and white.  I need to incorporate more black and white here!

I took a bunch of candid guest photos and lined the top and bottom of the main photo.

Our Guests Wedding Scrapbook LayoutIn the bottom row, I added some text about our guests.

Our Guests Wedding Scrapbook LayoutI backed everything on patterned paper and added a headline.  Did I mention I love how this turned out?

Our Guests Wedding Scrapbook Layout*I also created this page to showcase the awesomely cool picture of all our guests together.  After the ceremony, we had our photographer get this shot.  Yes, I was thinking of my scrapbook way back then when planning wedding photos.

Scrapbook Layout: Wedding Scrapbook Ceremony Layout

Wedding Ceremony Scrapbook PagesThe latest edition for my Wedding Scrapbook – I like how it turned out but I don’t love it.  Funny because the wedding ceremony is arguably the most important part, right?

That’s exactly the problem.  I was struck again by the omigod-this-is-so-important-I-don’t-think-I-can-do-it-justice.  And down the rabbit hole I went.  Anyway.

Lots of wedding scrapbooks I’ve seen have more than one page for the ceremony.  I kept this to one double-page spread because: 1. our ceremony was super short, thus we didn’t have as many bits to memorialize, and 2. I’m still twitching about how many pages this entire album will end up being.

I put large key pictures at the top and a band of smaller pictures along the bottom.

Wedding Ceremony Scrapbook PagesUnderneath that, I added the ribbon from my bouquet.  Yeah, it’s not the cleanest – I should have cleaned the ribbon right after the honeymoon.  I tried blotting off the dirt before putting it in the scrapbook and it only sort of worked.

Wedding Ceremony Scrapbook PagesI added a simple headline and flourish, no other words.  Remember, the main story for the ceremony is hiding underneath our program on the previous page.

Wedding Ceremony Scrapbook PagesHere’s a closeup of the detail – everything is backed with patterned paper and just a tiny hint of pink.

Wedding Ceremony Scrapbook PagesStill not sure how I feel about these pages, but I’m not going to change them.  I generally don’t go back and change pages – I accept how I interpreted something and move on to the next project.

Scrapbook Layout: Wedding Scrapbook Ceremony Site Layout

Wedding Scrapbook Ceremony Site LayoutYes, an entire layout dedicated to our ceremony site!

Selecting a meaningful ceremony site was important to us.  Since we met at college and are both die hard fans (if you need evidence, please refer to my last college scrapbook), the beautiful Berkeley campus was just the spot.

I used a large statement picture for the top of the page (much like I did before in this layout).

Wedding Scrapbook Ceremony Site LayoutUnderneath the picture, I included a campus newspaper article from Valentine’s Day the year we were married.  It was a story about getting married on campus and they featured our upcoming wedding.  I added a second smaller picture of the actual spot where we would exchange vows and a block of text about what the site meant to us.

I backed all of these pieces in alternating colors from my Engagement Color Scheme.

Wedding Scrapbook Ceremony Site LayoutI did the headline in grey cardstock and added a pink flourish, both cut with the Silhouette.

Wedding Scrapbook Ceremony Site LayoutI love the simple elegant look of this – hopefully I’m finally starting to hit my stride on this project!
