Scrapbook Layout: New York Scrapbook, Broadway Show

Broadway Show Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerBroadway Show Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerThe Story: When we went to see The Producers on Broadway.  I’m telling you, this vacation has everything that’s ubiquitously New York.

The Layout: Very very simple here.  I just worked the tickets around the Playbill.

No Pictures: Nope, none at all.  I of course couldn’t take pictures during the show.  I’m not bothered by there being no pictures.

Playbills: I always include Playbills whole when I have them.  See them previously here and here.

Earlier: Title Page, Central Park, Yankee Game, Museums, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, Times Square, Ground Zero, National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Scrapbook Layout: Vegas Trip with No Pictures

Vegas Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerVegas Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerVegas Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerHow about an all keepsakes, zero photo page?  Pretty neat, huh?

I’m not that talented.  I actually made this page on scrapbook autopilot and didn’t realize that it was zero photos and all keepsakes until I started writing this post.  Sometimes I surprise myself.

The keepsakes make it difficult to get any real unifying color or design.  It’s basically a loose collage.  I just moved stuff around the page until the pieces fit together like a puzzle.

The colors of the cardstocks I used are pulled from the patterned paper.  It still kinda looks like the color is going all over the place, but I like it.

Really?  No pictures from a weekend trip?  I know.  This trip was very very last minute and was after a very busy time at work so we relaxed and I didn’t take any pictures (this was before real camera phones, you know).

Scrapbook Layout: Seeing Shows

Theater & Movies Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerTheater & Movies Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerTheater & Movies Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerTheater & Movies Scrapbook Layout by Natalie ParkerI love it when I can bring together a ton of random keepsakes that I’ve saved.  This page has theater programs,* concert tickets, movie tickets, and items from another show.

I don’t save movie tickets as a rule, but sometimes they end up in the box.  Since I love context in scrapbooks, I included them here.

No photos in this layout, but I did use my photo printer.  To make the page more interesting, I printed thumbnails for each movie to go next to the movie tickets.  Google Images scores again!

I’m still working on mixing fonts like I did with the earlier football layout.  I’m pretty pleased with this!

Theater & Movies Scrapbook Layout by Natalie Parker*Yes, I did a theater layout earlier in this same scrapbook, but that layout is for a particular weekend I spent with my sister-in-law, so I decided that needed a separate layout.

Theatre Scrapbook Layout

Theater Layout by Natalie ParkerTheater Layout by Natalie ParkerTheater Layout by Natalie ParkerAll keepsakes, not much imagination here?  You might think that but rest assured I labored over every detail.

This layout shows a weekend I spent in San Francisco seeing shows with my future sister-in-law.  And I didn’t take any pictures.  It’s so weird to see how my habits have changed!

I still kept keepsakes for my scrapbook back then and I love saving Playbills in particular.  Playbills are  huge though and it’s tough to work them into a layout.

I really considered cutting them up.  But in previous scrapbooks I always included the entire Playbill.  I struggled over this a bit but decided to keep them.  You can add Playbills to the same category as National Park Service maps.

For the headline, I decided to try mixing fonts.  Not bad for a first try, I think!

What would you do with the Playbills?  Would you cut them up?
