Scrapbook Layout: Christmas Ornaments

The Story: All of our new Christmas ornaments from 2005.

Cataloging Christmas Ornaments: Read more about this project here.  All of the pictures for this layout were taken in 2012 when our tree was up.

Lots of Little Stories:  This year, I wanted to include a few thoughts about each ornament.  That made it challenging to come up with a layout that supported many pictures and stories.  While there is a lot of white space on these pages, it was necessary in order to fit everything in.

Travel: There are two ornaments from our trip to New York that year, which started our travel ornament collecting tradition.  There’s a Statue of Liberty and a baseball Santa Claus (we picked up Santa in Cooperstown).

  1. GREAT job!! This is a project I’d like to do. My ornament collection was started by my Mom when I was a toddler. Single years. Now ornaments are added each year by hubby and I. Some from traveling. I want to make this a separate and ongoing album project. Thanks for the inspiration!!

    • Sounds like you have a great collection! I liked to some earlier posts in this post explaining how I’m working on getting the entire collection photographed. I’m going to get a few years’ worth of photos taken every Christmas. True, it will take a few years to get photos of them all but it will take more than that to put them all in albums anyway.
