Desk Calendar Tutorial and Giveaway

2011 is here and I need something to brighten up my office. This calendar turned out so well that I’m making another one to give away. Read on for how to enter.

The idea for this calendar came from a Write. Click. Scrapbook. post. I decided to use my own pictures and try it out. The benefit is two-fold:

  1. I get an at-a-glance calendar that I will really use, and
  2. I’ll have nice pictures to look at when at work.

The Specs

Cheryl over at Write. Click. Scrapbook. gave me a link to calendar files I could download and edit. I added nicer titles for each month, then paired each month with one of my pictures.

Here is the important info:

  • Each card measures 4.5 inches by 7.5 inches.
  • Font is Script MT Bold.
  • Pictures are from my own collection.
  • Calendar files can be found here.
  • Cards were printed on photo paper the backed in grey cardstock.

Cards printed on photo paper then cut out.

Assembly

Pretty simple from here on out!

Back each card in cardstock of your choice.

I glued each card onto a piece of grey cardstock. You could go with a different color for each month. I was trying to make my life easier here by using one color for all.

If I was smart I would have made these slightly smaller so I could fit four on one page, but who’s checking?

Finished!

Want One of Your Own?

  1. i’m a subscriber! i absolutely love calendars and am a firm believer that you can never have too many. i always have grand intentions of making my own but that never seems to happen. the ONE calendar i made this year got sent to my sister. 😛

  2. I was just thinking that I needed a calendar for work. I forgot to order me one this year. What a good idea to add some personality to a workspace.

  3. How lovely, and I never did get a calender for this year, which means I’m staring at the ugly one printed from corporate – ha. Glad I read your post just in time!
